One impactful project I worked on for Walmart Deli focused on improving the Grab&Go experience. Customers were shopping quick meal bags on warmers at the front of the store, but existing packaging and fact cards didn’t clearly communicate what was inside. There was little visual cue to help shoppers quickly identify their selection, which created friction at a key decision point. The challenge was to develop a solution that made the product immediately recognizable while staying within brand standards and production constraints.
We redesigned the Grab&Go fact cards to prominently feature high-quality images of packaged food items. To ensure accuracy and consistency, I helped design and direct a dedicated photoshoot—styling the food to look fresh, appetizing, and true to what customers would receive. The result was a cleaner, more intuitive system that paired strong visuals with clear information, making it easier for customers to shop with confidence. It was a great example of how thoughtful design and strong imagery can directly improve the in-store experience.
*Key learning point: Customers don’t read copy, they read pictures!
